Research Description
Minhey is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research centers on persuasion and new media, with an emphasis on health communication. She is interested in message processing and the effects of media messages on health perceptions. Her research delves into how the new media landscape and individual vulnerabilities complicate these effects, addressing topics such as unhealthy media use motivations, health misinformation, and the transactional effects between body image and social media.
